De-stressed

Ask my kids. The time they would say that they like me the least is when I am preparing for a trip or preparing for company. Even though I LOVE both; I get uptight as I try to remember every detail so the time is full of great memories and perfect.

Today, that normal uptight, stress-filled gal wasn’t around. I wondered why. I almost felt like maybe I was forgetting a bunch of details that I wouldn’t discover until we were in the mountains miles away from the nearest Target.

Then I read today’s devotional from which was a reminder that even though Jesus was a very busy man; there is no where that says he was stressed or in a hurry.

We sure can learn a lot from Jesus. We all need to take a deep breath, look at all we have to be thankful for and choose a de-stressed day.

See you in a week!

  1. One sure way to add stress in my life is having company over. I LOVE opening my home, but like Martha, I worry about so many things.

Our home is the one that hosts Christmas every year. Do you know that I usually am ill the week between Christmas and New Year’s – all from stress I’m sure. This past Christmas was the first one in several years that I didn’t have to take a trip to Emergency over the holidays…I’m serious!

I hope you have a wonderful week. I’m going to miss you tons!
    Love & hugs,

I know what your talking about, I had everyone for the 4th of July, and Nick got up his ususal 11:00 and I asked him to do a few things and kinda snapped at him and he siad ‘Mom I knew you’d be this way today that why I stayed in bed” oops!! He was right I had to take a deep breath and realize it isnt about how everything will look, its about everyone feeling comfortable, and having fun!! Happy belated Birthday!!
