Faithfulness and Unfailing Love

“Who is a God like you,who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. You will be true to Jacob, and show mercy to Abraham,as you pledged on oath to our fathers in days long ago.” Micah 7:18 – 20

It has been amazing here in Charlotte the past two days. Low 80’s. No humidity. Light breeze. I sat outside on Sunday morning thinking, “This must be what heaven with be like. I can’t wait!”

This morning, as I read this passage, it was like that same cool breeze in the middle of the scoring heat of summer. Pardon, forgiveness, mercy, compassion. All actions by our God to us, His loved ones.

Today, as you go about your day, as you run into trials, as you laugh at your children, as you do your laundry and cook another meal, dwell on His actions toward you. He pardons. He forgives. He shows mercy. He has compassion. No wonder I love Him so!
