Lost connection?
When my hearts shifts so that the things I do toward God are not motivated by my heart to know God, it’s no longer about our truly about relationship. It’s moved from being about Him, to being about me.
Colossians 2:19 “He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews grows s God causes it to grow.”
This little nugget packs so much truth! “Doing good” for the sake of doing good doesn’t do anyone any good! Even “doing good” can distract us from our relationship with God. I guess one way to avoid that is to always give God the glory and daily submit ourselves to God.
