NOTHING can separate us…

Several things took place in our family yesterday that tried to bring a whole backpack full of discouragement on our backs. It’s just a little bit weird how trials seem to at least come in pairs…sometimes it is more like bunches. Life can be so much like a roller coaster…that is if we choose to get in the cart and ride.

This morning, I am trying to refocus and choose not to take the plunge. Most of the time these trials are bait from the enemy to take our eyes off of what the Lord is doing in and through those He so dearly loves. No matter what takes place today. No matter if the Lord chooses to remove this trial or I go through it a bit longer – He and His love for me and His life living and breathing in me doesn’t change. His presence working it’s way in my life to give me purpose, life and a love relationship like no other never leaves just because life changes.

I am so glad that this isn’t something I make up – just to make me feel good or just to get through the day. I have His promise to me “Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?….Yet in all all these things we are MORE THAN conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35, 37 – 39

It isn’t just the bad things in life that try to separate us…notice that is says death or life. Life itself…the good things as well as the bad can be used to separate us. The life inside of us…the living, breathing life of the Holy Spirit inside of me is more real than the trials around us. These things we go through every day are just reminders that we are not made for this place – reality is WHO is in us and where we will be one day.

Do you reflect on that often? Do your thoughts often go to Him and your desire to be with Him? Do you have feelings of missing Him? One day, one fine day…we shall see Him face to face! OH……how I can’t wait for that day!
