Processing Grief with Your Child with Caris & Zoe Snider

This week on Raising Brave Beauties, Michelle Nietert and I are joined by Caris Snider and her daughter Zoe for a powerful, tear-moving episode on processing grief with our child.

Caris is a mental health advocate, writer, speaker, and worship leader. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Alabama. Her passion for the Lord comes through as a survivor of anxiety and depression. She is the author of Anxiety Elephants: A 31-Day Devotional to Help You Stomp Out Anxiety. (Which I just purchased for a girl I love who is graduating from college on Saturday and making a BIG move!)

In this interview, Zoe talks about being brave and what she experienced as she was processing grief with a sudden death.

We’re talking about:

??‍♀️ Difficult experiences can lead to strong girls and women.

? Your emotions lose power over you once you acknowledge them.

✝️ God is near to the brokenhearted & can put those pieces back together in ways only He can.

?‍♀️ Teach your girls now that friends are to be for one another, instead of against one another

(This last point reminds me of the wisdom my daughter Madi shared on this post.)
