What Are You Considering?

What is the thing that is at the forefront of your thoughts?

How am I going to get all this work done?

What am I going to do with this child?

Will he get better, get a job, or turn and go the right way?

Whatever is occupying our thoughts will occupy our lives. Our thoughts determine the way we will go.

So where do you want to go? Down the path of worry? Toward discouragement?

Or do you want to move toward motivation? Go forward in faith? Here is God’s advice to us:

“Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God’s wonders.”
Job 37:14 NIV

You may think, “I hear this all the time…you are what you think.”

So are you watching your thoughts? Are you making a conscience choice when worry comes in to set it aside in favor of faith?

Do you allow frustration to dominate your day or are you making the decision to turn to the God of wonders and consider who He is and what He can do…in you, in your spouse, in your friend, in your child?

I am going to make a conscience choice today. Inside right now I am angry, frustrated, concerned too. But right now I am turning away from discouragement, frustration, worry and defeat. I am choosing right now to put His works, His ways, at the forefront of my thoughts in order to choose faith for my kids.

I am choosing to put His purposes before worry and agitation in order to release His wonder in my life and in the lives of my family. I have no choice. It is the only pathway to freedom.
