WWT: Back-to-School; Back-with-Prayer Week 4

It’s our last week of prayer but just the beginning of praying our children through this school year! Let’s pray this prayer together for our kids:

Week 4:

To Know Him Better

Ephesians 1: 17 “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.”

Jesus,

I love that you start this verse with “keep asking”. That is exactly what I need to do when it comes to my family! Some days we are strong; many days we falter. But no matter what comes our way or the times we mess up, I am going to keep asking that you will give us Your Spirit of wisdom so that we may know you better. I know that as we know you better, the wise choices and the lives that honor you will come. But until we know you better, it is just us struggling to do our best.

I want Your power for my family, Jesus, not us trying to do our best. Fill us. Give us your wisdom and revelation. I know you want to!

May this be my kids’ best year ever, Lord. Blow us away with the work you do to draw our children and ourselves closer to You. We want this year to count for Your kingdom, Jesus; to make a difference in our world and show others You are the one worth living for!

Amen
