Often in our lives, we think that the little things we do are just not important. Again, I think this little lie is a big strategy from our enemy to keep us from having an impact!

Think over your own life.

Who made a difference?

God poured into me through my children’s choir director, Anna Mae Billings. I wish I would tell her the words she poured into us stuck! She taught me to believe in the potential God put in me, and I could be anything God chose for me!

What might God be nudging you to do, what step might He be encouraging you to take to be a difference-maker? Begin an after-school group for kids feeling so isolated? Take a treat to an elderly person feeling so alone? Begin a Bible study with the friend who has lost her confidence? Send a card to a woman in prison?

To help you and those you love to know this truth as well, we’re sharing the “I Am” Prayer Promise Cards. This creation speaks the truth over your heart: you are loved and cherished; overcoming daily lies telling you the opposite. Simply download the cards to print out for yourself or to share with another. Simply click here. You might also forward this gift to someone who needs these words of encouragement today!

  1. Sherry Stemmler says:

Love your devotions. I’m going to get this book for my great grandaughter who is 6 years old.

    1. Thank you so much, Sherry! What a beautiful gift to fill her heart with the knowing that she is deeply loved! ❤️

  2. I see the recommended age for Loved & Cherished is 8-12. The sample page (day 47) seems like it might not be too childish for an all-but-sixteen-year-old. Are the rest of the days similar or are some of them more obviously geared to children? I would love for my daughter to absorb this message, but she won’t read anything that makes her feel like someone is talking down to her. Thanks.

    1. Lynn Cowell says:

Thank you so much, Michele! I would say that it is geared to a more mature elementary girl. I do have a devotion for teen girls. Just head to my books page – – and click on: Devotions for a Revolutionary Year. I would be happy to personalize it for her and get it in the mail today. 🙂

  3. My daughter and I are enjoying Love & Cherished..She said the prayer to accept Jesus! Great bonding time with my almost 9 year old!

Amy – your sharing totally made my day! THANK YOU JESUS! This is why I write … so others will know His love! Thank you so very, very much!

  4. Just wondering if you can recommend a book for boys?

    1. Lynn Cowell says:

Hi Anita – I can recommend a group called MOB Society – Mothers of Boys. They have a page of recommendations there.

My co-author Michelle Nietert and I have it on our list of future writings to do!
