Ways to Win
If you are joining me here today because of my devotion running at Proverbs 31 Ministries, welcome! You picked a great day to stop by because today, the P31 Team is celebrating with a Carnival of Give-Aways and we are inviting you to join us! Some are celebrating their love of nature. Others grandbabies on the way. Come along and join the fun! You’ll find the list of the team members and their give aways at the bottom of this post.
In the devo today, I talked about having the right equipment, specifically the right equipment to do battle with our enemy, Satan. The battlefield is our mind and the equipment we need is prayer and God’s Word.
I’d like to share with you some of my favorite verses for the things I struggle with:
When I really need wisdom for a decision:
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” Psalm 37: 23 – 24
When I need to learn when to keep my mouth shut or when to open it:
“Though you probe my heart and examine me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.” Psalm 17:3
When I am struggling to allow His will in my life; refusing to control a situation:
Isaiah 46:10 “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose (meaning God’s) will stand and I will do all I please.”
For me, spiritual warfare starts in my mind and heart, but often it is something I have to do outwardly as well. It might involve cranking up worship music to crowd out the wrong thoughts. I have been known to talk out loud, speaking truth to overcome the lies I may be hearing in my head. Whatever shape it takes, I determine to partner with the Holy Spirit to see victory and not give in to what I know is not truth or good. Friend, Jesus wants you to experience His victory in EVERY area of your life and as you see it come to past, that is something to celebrate!!!!

Hi,
First I would love to have the prize pack for my precious daughter! We have come along this road, only by the grace of God. I see His GREAT love for her, in the midst!!!
Second she leaves for school early in the morning, so that she can stop at STARBUCKS!!
In the midst of teenage, He pours out wisdom and strength, according to His promise
blessings,
Karen
My daughter is a beautiful young teen, and I pray daily for ways to encourage a love and trust for her first love, Jesus Christ, in deep and meaningful ways. We get along, but wish for deeper relationship with each other and our Lord. Thanks for the opportunities (spiritual and material) presented here!
I would like to have this prize pack for my daughter! And for me! We are entering those teen years and having difficulty communicating some times. Would love to have access to such wonderful information for us both to utilize!
Staci
Lynn, Your essay today really touched my heart. I am doing Wendy Pope's Read-the-Bible-In-A-Year on-line study, and being in the Word this way has helped me deal with, as you said "a ramped up life." Most of what is and will be happening this year are blessings – both children finishing degrees, leaving our home and launching careers, daughter getting married and moving away, son perhaps moving away, husband possibly getting a promotion that will change his work schedule. And there are things on my plate that are not in the blessings category — getting older and feeling and looking it, aging parents, fractures in my family of origin, stresses at work, etc. Life has become harder to deal with and I need to stay close to God and ask him for His peace, His wisdom and His guidance. I still mess up, I still snap at my husband, I still feel Satan getting a grip on my thoughts and my tongue, but definitely not as frequently as before I committed to read the Bible every day.
Again, very well said thoughts today in your devotional. God bless you.
Michelle
P.S. You don't have to enter me in your drawing, as we have, PTL, survived the teenage years in this household. 🙂
I actually DID stop by today because of your devo in P31! Looking forward to writing down your suggested verses for things like keeping my mouth shut and of course, when to open it, among others.
I am a single mother of a 13 year old girl who is cute as button! It grieves me when I hear her say things like, "I'm fat" or "I hate my stomach" She and I both could use some affirming information to grow in Christ. We could encourage each other!
I have had the pleasure of hearing Wendy Pope and Lysa Terkhurst speak and know a couple of ladies who have attended She Speaks conferences. P31 (and it's contributors) are an awesome ministry and offers so much love and encouragement to me and many others. Keep up the 'good work' and the 'good works'!!
I was the "annonymous" post. I DO want to enter youir give-away!
I have a 13 year old daughter and would love to be able to share these things with her!!
Lynn,
Thank you for your devo today. I will be sharing it with my softball-loving tween!
My prayer is that I can be a godly example for her, leading her to grow stronger in her faith. I would like to have your gift pack to use as "weapons" in that quest.
Blessings,
Pam

I would love to be able to give the prize pack to my daughter. She is 16 and is searching for the realness of God.
For me, what can I say…I love coffee!
In His Grace,
Tammy
Hi Lynn,
I would so like to have this prize pack to share with my 15yr. old daughter, she is currently living with her father and when we seperated 3yrs ago she did not want to see me or speak to me, I went for 2yrs and 7mos praying and asking for God to work in the situation. Then on Dec. 23 2009 2mos. ago God answered those prayers, she agreed to meet with me I gave her her christmas gifts and we spent 3hrs. talking and she decided to leave the past in the past and we are moving forward with rebuilding our relationship, God is "GOOD ALL THE TIME" I cant thank him enough for ALL he has done for me I would love this prize pack to help us in our rebuilding process with Gods Help.
Thank you,
Molly
My most ultimate goal in being a mom of 4 is encouraging and instruction my children their walk with Christ. My one and only 11-year-old daughter is sweet, giving, beautiful, smart, so very helpful, an all around wonderful person. Sometimes because she is so smart and on top of things, I feel she gets the least of my time and is the most distant in her relationship with God. I'm just always looking for something that she might dive into that will bring her closer to our Lord.

My daughter is 15 and although she has gone to catholic church/school almost all her life, she is just now starting to understand God. She was adopted from Russian orphange and it is so important for her to have faith and love in her heart.

Lynn,
I am always encouraged and blessed by your blog. Please enter me in your give away. I have a young teen girl who could use the set of books. She is a quieter girl and I am not always sure what she is thinking. Especially in relation to some difficult areas in our family life. The cd would be great as I am looking for ways to build a strong bridge to her heart. And we would enjoy a mom/daughter date to Starbucks!
I have not entered the teenage years of parenting yet (my little girl is not quite two) but my brother-in-law and sister-in-law is smack dab in the middle of it! If I win, I will be gifting my gift to my niece and sister-in-law (then hope to get it back in time for my turn around the teenage years 🙂 )
I would love to win this prize because I am a late bloomer in the faith. I did not develope a relationship with Jesus until my girls were already young teenagers. I am trying to direct my girls that way but it is difficult at their ages.
Thank you!

I would LOVE to get this prize for my friend who is struggling in so many areas with her 14 year old daughter…She is a single mom and takes cares of her mom also at their home…She needs all the help she can get. This would be a Blessing to her in so many ways…I pray for her daily…God Bless you!!!
Starbucks and books….a tie that binds my daughter and me 🙂 though not as strong as the Tie that binds us spiritually. So many conversation opportunites from both those sources.

Thank you so much for your ministry! I would love to have the prize to give to a teen girl at my church who I know would cherish the books. I would love to have the other for me to pave the way for my relationship with my precious little 7 1/2 year old girl.
Many blessings to you!
I have two teenage daughters that woukld really benefit from this prize (as well as their mother!) I made alot of mistakes with my 22 year old and am trying to do a better job with these two.
I would love this for my best friend and her soon-to-be teenage daughter! They would greatly benefit from this.
Would love to win this for my sister who has a teenaged daughter. This would be a great way for them to grow closer together!
I have an 11 year old daughter and I feel like we are only starting this teen thing but I already am desperate for wisdom and insight on how to survive these years!
I would love to have this pack bc my oldest daughter has just turned 12 and it has bewildered my mind..LOL.. and I am a nusre(not alot does) 🙂 I would love for us to have this to share together…MOMMY DAUGHTER TIME…thx and God bless
What a great way to strengthen my relationship with my oldest child as she enters the teen years. my prayer is our close friendship can survive her being a teenager and me being a mom.
This gift would be for my daughter and this mom who so wants to love and parent well. Thanks, Lynn!
Deb
I would like this book for my twin 16 year old daughters. They are both trying to find what God wants them to do with their lives and where He will lead them. They love Starbucks too. Thank you for your words of encouragement and support. My email address is [email protected].
I am SO in the season of learning to interact with a teen daughter! Would love this gift of encouragement for us both!
[email protected]
Um…Starbucks. Yum! Need I say more? Ha! No, any recommended parenting materials I can get my hands on – I welcome. The CD sounds great.
I would love to have this for my 15 year old daughter. These teenage years are so much harder than I expected, I am trying to enjoy these last few years I have with her before she goes off to college. As much as I am ready to be done parenting and start being more of a friend I also want to give her the tools she needs to succeed when she finally finds her wings and leaves the nest.
This prize package would be meaningful to my daughter & I for several different reasons. She will be 13 in 2 months. We have had a lot of struggles through the last several years. She is very strong-willed & was diagnosed with ADHD in kindergarten. We have come a long way in our mother-daughter relationship after MUCH prayer. But, we are still a work in progress. She is a precious child, but she doesn't seem to know it. I would love to present her with your books because she loves to read. Also, every Saturday morning we go to Starbucks for breakfast, so the gift card would be the perfect thing for a mother-daughter moment.

I have 2 daughters, my relationship with my oldest daughter has been strained. This would be so helpful for both of us
My daughter is a voracious reader and it's often hard to find appropriate books. These books sound great!

Hi!!
Thank you so much for your wisdom
and insight.
I am a mother of 3 beautiful daughters (14, 10 and 6). We are in the midst of the teenage angst years. My oldest is a cheerleader and a freshman in high school. Some days we communicate very well and others its like I'm speaking an unknown language.
She has committed to purity but I also know she is surrounded daily by those who do not share her values and moral convictions.
We were just speaking about this this weekend and I was looking for new ways to talk to her about this subject and others that inundate our children daily. Not to mention I have 2 more daughters who will soon be dealing with the same issues.
I think your prize pack is the perfect thing. It was heaven sent. With 3 daughters I need all the encouragement, resources and weapons so to speak, I can use to insure they make wise decisions and remain close to Lord on their path to womanhood.
Many blessings Lynn, to you and yours!

I would love to win this prize for my 2 daughters, who are young now, but will be in their teen years all too soon!
My daughter isn't quite into the teenage years yet, but I am amazed and discouraged by some of the information and ideas she already faces. I would love all the help I can get to get to equip her for all she will be facing in the years ahead!
I would like to win this because I have a beautiful, loving, fantastic daughter who gets great grades and has lots of friends. Unfortunately she is at that age where it isn't cool to talk about Jesus and I would like to have some tools to encourage her. With better communication I think that she could be a shining example of a Christian teen for her friends and little sister.
First of all thanks to all the ladies participating in the give-aways for their generosity.
I have a beautiful 15yo daughter. I have worked hard on our relationship b/c I did not have that with my mom growing up. I strive to help her to not struggle with the usual teen issues like body image and having to have a boyfriend to feel good about yourself. Ever since attending the Brio mother/daughter cruise a couple of years ago she has deepened her relationship with Christ. There she began to learn that she is special and does not have to conform to the "world's" idea of beauty. I would love to continue to pour into her with these books. Oh, and she also loves Starbucks hot chocolate. Thank you!!
Would love the book for my 14 year old daughter. She is a beautiful girl inside and out and loves Jesus but just this year I have noticed a change in her opinion about modesty and would love some help in guiding her in the right direction.
This prize pack is something that I would love to share with my 16 year old daughter who is standing up for her faith in public schools. She is providing that witness to others and helping girls and even guys get through high school without caving into the peer pressure.
Please enter me in your wonderful giveaway!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
First of all, I would like to thank all of the women who are participating in the give away for their generosity.
I have a beautiful 15yo daughter. I have worked hard on our relationship b/c I did not have that growing up with my mom. Ever since attending the Brio mother/daughter cruise three years ago she has grown deeper in her relationship with Christ. It was there she began to learn that she does not have to conform to the ways of the world when it comes to how she looks or even having to date. I would love these books so that I can continue to pour into her God's word on her being a woman. Oh, and she loves Starbucks hot chocolate. Thanks.

I would love to win this give away for my daughter who needs to know how precious she is to her heavenly Father, she is so lost…thank you so much for this opportunity.

Hello Lynn,
Of all the give-aways today I think I'd like this one the most. I have an almost 14 year old and trying to find new ways to connect with her and point her back to God is one of my biggest challenges. We would be extremely blessed by you, but happy for whoever the lucky winner is. Thank you all for your generosity to us.
God Bless you!

I would love to win this prize pack for my 13 year old grandaughter and her mom!
This would be a great prize for my daughter. She is not quite there yet but I know that in the years to come it will be helpful.

This would be the perfect gift for my sister and her daughter. My daughters are grown and she looks to me for Godly advice. Her daughter is 15 and a beautiful Christian young lady who I know still struggles each day trying to make the right decisions when worldly influences are all around. Thank you for your words of encouragement.

Great post. Spiritual warfare is battleground I neglect to prepare for sometimes. I do not have a teenage daughter yet, but will in a few years.
I personally do not have any children of my own but I have some young girls in my church that look to me as a mentor, friend, confidant. I would love to give this book to one of them. I have struggled with living with this world's idea of beauty until I realized my beauty and worth in Christ. It pains me to hear what girls are going thru today and I would give this book to someone who needs to know and find their beauty and worth in Christ as I did.
I would love this to share with my almost 12 year old daughter. She is a wonderful girl, but I feel like we've had some struggles and I want to draw her close to God and close to me. Thanks for the chance.
LOVED today's blog on the Wonder Bat! Will share it with my pre-teen, softball playing daugther and with the 8th grade religious ed class I teach.
Thanks for putting biblical principles in easy-to-grasp images.
Lynn,
Thank yo so much for doing this. Would love to have the prize pack, I have a 13-year-old daughter and she and I would both enjoy such a precious gift. Great blog post today Lynn and awesome devo on having the right equipment. I must admit, when I first saw the title, I though you were talking about the flying kind of bat. It made me laugh.
My daughter is one of the most faithful young ladies I have ever known. My kiddos have been through a lot, but thanks to God, they are triumphing over it. My daughter amazes me every day with the depth and commitment she shows to God. She is terrified at night, does not like the dark at all and many nights cannot sleep because of her fear. She is so amazing though, because instead of feeling bad or ashamed about this (as many young girls her age would) she simply trusts God. She prays, I can hear her at night sometimes, praying the name of Jesus over and over, to rid her of her fear. She turns on her radio to a Christian station. She is an inspiration to me in her faith and her joy in the Lord.
Each fall, our church does a 24/7 prayer event. My daughter went with me this last year to pray for an hour. One of the prayer stations was about reaching the world for the Lord, and how each nation/tribe/tongue will be reached for him. She was so excited! They asked that we choose a country to pray specifically for in our daily prayer time, she chose two. Each night she asks me, "mom, have you been praying for your country?" :o)
As for the Starbucks, well, gosh, who doesn't like a frappuccino sometimes? ;o) One of my study groups for church meets there bi-weekly too!
in Him,
Tricia
Thanks for your kind offer. I have read all of the posts and I think you have a difficult job of deciding who should win! I am a recently separated Mom of 2 girls, 12 & 10. My husband decided last November that he no longer wanted to be married. Me and my girls are doing well because of God's grace and provision. We just started homeschooling this year and the time we have together is exaclty what we need to travel this particularly difficult path together right now. Our church is reading the whole Bible together in 2010 and our reading time has been precious. I would love the opportunity to share this book with my almost 13-year old. This is a pivotal time in any girl's life, but without her Daddy around, I want to build a foundation with her as strong as possible. She needs God more than she needs me, but I know I am the one who must make sure she knows how to find Him in ALL the areas of her life. The Starbucks coupon would just be icing on the cake! Thanks for all you do for Christ through this ministry. [email protected]
I would love your prize pack because I have a beautiful wonderful teenage daughter who would love it as well….and we both love Starbucks!

I would love to share these books with my two teen daughters. Both they and me need much encouragement lately…
What a lovely prize. My daughter is only 7, but I'm already prayerfully striving to build bridges. It took us 10 years to have her and I'm shocked to think that just 10 years from now she will already be ready to leave home!

I would like to receive these books for my daughter, Julia, because she has a very rare disease called Hermansky Pudlak Syndrome. She has many struggles ahead of her and already feels so"different" that I would like to have more Godly wisdom to share with her! Thanks so much Tisa Birchall

Help for teenage girls… awesome! My daughter is only a year away and already I see the signs of self-esteem struggles! YIKES!
Coffee? How could I refuse?

I have a beautiful preteen daughter and would love to share this with her.
Great Devo today, Lynn! Thank you!
Hi, your post today was very encouraging to me. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who talks out loud the word of God to overcome negative thoughts and plays worship music loudly to help me focus on the Lord and not the ungodly voices in the environment. Thank you for sharing so candidly.
I would love to win the prize pack. My daughter is at the threshold of teenhood and its been challenging for me and her. She is the oldest of five sisters and does not like the idea of being an example for them…even though I told her it's not expected of her by us her parents, but her sisters will look to her as an example anyway, whether good or bad.
For me, giving her the time she needs has been challenging with all that goes on in our family. This resource would be a blessing for her and me. The Starbucks will just the icing on the cake for me.
I thank God that He gives me wisdom abundantly every time I ask.
The prize package would be a huge blessing because it's not something that fits in our budget right now, so it would be a GIANT God thing!!!
[email protected]
I would love to win this prize pack… I have 3 daughters 13,11 and 8. Being a teenager was hard when I was one and the things our teens have access to these days is overwhelming to me! I need the help and protection for my girls only the Lord can give. Any other tools to help in this area would be great!!
[email protected]
I would be grateful for the mother/daughter pack. I have a beautiful 17 year old daughter. We were both baptized last summer in a local lake as the sun was setting! It was a beautiful and moving experience for both of us. We have both grown in our faith and I can see such wonderful changes in our lives as we have allowed Jesus Christ to lead us on our daily paths. She will be leaving for college in a year so this time for us to bond and grow together spiritually is precious time indeed!
[email protected]
I know this would be a blessing to myself and my teen daughter. AS each teen girl struggles these days it is a challenge for them with peer pressure daily to not give in. I know God has her heart and mind but would be of great help for her. And it would be a testimony for her to her friends.
I know I certainly can use a Starbucks blessing at the same time..
God is good to us..
I would love to have this gift for my daughter! I thank God daily for her and tell her how I am so glad I have her in my life. See at 17 years old I got pregnant with her and almost aborted her. I talk to her daily how waiting till your married because it is God's law! I tell her how she saved me life, I was into drugs and into a terrible relationship and God gave her to me. I have grown very close to God and have a wonderful relationship with my 14 year old. She is such a blessing.
Lynn,
I have two daughters, the oldest of whom is embarking on those teen years. We have a pretty good relationship, but I know it could be so much more. It is my heart's desire that she see herself as precious and loved by Him, and that she would have the confidence and courage to live that out.
Thanks so much!
I would love to have this prize pack for my daughter and myself!!! She is about to turn 13, so I need all the help I can get to keep her plugged in to God's word.
Thanks for the opportunity!!
[email protected]
I would love this not only for my daughter, but the teenager girls I mentor as a youth leader. Thank you so much for this opportunity!
I would like to win this prize so that I can share it with the girls in my youth ministry. As a Youth Director I am always on the lookout for how I can give more to my youth without spending more. In these hard economic times anything I can do to give them more without spending a lot is a blessing.
Thanks so much! I have a 19 year old daughter who is my love and best friend. I must say – we don't have a problem communicating. Sometimes I think we share the same brain. 🙂 She is off at college, but we still communicate daily – a few times a day. I am so thankful that God has given me a beautiful daughter that LOVES and serves HIM. Her passion is the Lord and I truly believe this is why our relationship is so good. I'd love to hear what your books have to say as well and share them with her.
I would love to be able to share the book with a precious teen girl from our church!! Thanks for sharing!
I'm really excited to see where this leads. My teen sister (16) is going through a very awkward stage as most do at this time. Trying to find her 'fit' in a cruel world. She has many health issues to add to the list of insecurities. I'd love to win this prize pack to pass on to her in hopes of God speaking to her and meeting that inner most need that she is beautifully and wonderfully made in His image. Be Blessed!

Love your way of thinking! I am a mom of 3 teens….2 of them high school daughters. I work at their school and see first hand the struggles they face.
This book sounds great!
Thanks.
This wouls be such a great prize for my daughter. We've had a rough few years with her older sister that she met ( I had her as a teen and gave her up for adoption and we met a couple years ago) passing away just as they were becoming friends to her dad losing a leg to diabetes, and her own diagnosis of diabetes. It would be a treat for her to get something as I was now laid off from my 10 year job and it's been a rough time in so many ways.
God bless,
Sue
My daughter is just a tween, but boy are the hormones already showing up! Pair this with my own pre-menopause state and it is not PRETTY! I think we are going to need all the help we can get! But, I know God's grace will get us where He wants us to be.
Thanks for this give-away,it has been great!
Oh you are so speaking right to my heart. I love the verses you chose to do battle with. I have to stop the spiral right when the thought starts, sometimes with music, most times just quoting verses to combat the lie I'm being tempted to believe. I would so love to connect my 15yr old with your books and carve out time with her at Starbucks. Puberty has definitely brought rifts in our relationship that weren't there before but God is faithful and creative in helping us both to somehow reconnect. thanks so much for your devo today.
I would love to have these books for my daughter.
I would love this packet! I am the daughter of a teen who struggles with her self worth. We just started a girl's group at our house with middle school girls. We are discussing values, decisions, being content with who God made you to be and not compare ourselves to the world…I love resources that will help and support me as a parent of a teen and her friends.
And we both love Starbucks!
Teresa
I'd love for my daughter to have this prize pack. And a place we love to sit and chat is Starbucks, so this would be an extra bonus!
thanks and love in Christ,
Deborah
I would love to give this to my daughter for her 16th birthday in April!
Blessings,

Hello! My interest in the gift you have is for my teenage daugther that I homeschool. She is really struggling with many things in her life today. We do devotions daily as part of our school day and this set sounds like something that was written just for her. We would make part of our day and help with her life.
Thank you and God Bless!

What a fun prize! My 14yodd is sitting right beside me…we're both on our laptops and watching the Olympics together. She is a precious jewel to us…would love to win her some awesome books. She's an avid reader.

Hey Lynn! Loved the blog, pretty cool! Well, I'm a young woman, 19 here, and I would really like to learn more about God, life, being an adult, and I guess I would love to win the prize because, well, who doesn't like free giveaways? But mostly because I really really want to learn and apply new teachings to my life and actually teach others too about all of these things! God bless! <3
My email is [email protected] & my name is Mel, hi!
Ps. Thanks for the Bible verses, I got them yesterday and let me tell you, they rock! Thank you, thank you, thank you! 😀
Well since my children are grown and I have no children in sight, I would love to have the prizes to donate to my church library….except for the Starbucks card of course, I'll save that for a carmel latte for myself!
WOW! Reading your blog sounds like I could have wrote it myself….CRAZY! I was having it out today with my mind and my heart. Spiritual warfare was on…I needed the Holy Spirit to come in and take over. My kids know now when mommy is "talking to herself" she is probably praying! 🙂
I too need to overwhelm myself with wroship music and God's word ecpecially when I do not feel like it. I know the power behind it, I just need to be reminded sometimes.
My daughter works so hard to be responsible and she delights in doing the right thing. I have spent many hours reading to my children and spending time in discussion with them, encouraging them to follow the honorable and godly path. I would love to win your Mom and Me prize so I can continue to encourage and lead my beautiful daughter.
Thank you.
Oh how I adore my almost teen (just shy 5mths, though not emotionally)It is so hard for me to let go and let her make decisions and allow her to make her own mistakes for exprience. She tends to get lost in the chaos of our household. She has an older step brother and a younger sister who is only 13mths younger than her. We also have a few foster kiddos who are young. It's hard to make sure and listen to her when she has something to say. It's hard to make sure that I hug her and kiss her and tell her I love her often during a day. I want to make sure I teach her what she will need to make correct decisions. I want to make sure she has the knowledge she will need to make better choices than her Mom did.
I was ready to tell you that I needed these books for my 14 year old daughter. God is really starting to work in her, I can see her growing. But when I read all the other comments, I realize that there are a lot more girls who need this set of books. What a hard decision for you. I will pray for God's guidance for you in making the right choice. Thank you for the verses in your blog! They really touched my heart today.
God Bless!

I always try to find encouraging books to share with my daughters, 14 and 16. Sometimes it seeems so hard to connect with them, but when I can give a book that will tell them what I want to say, it helps.

Hi Lynn:
I would really love to win the Mom and Me gift pack because I am going through a rough patch with my daughter. i love her so much andI'm concerend about the way she is now acting. there is a boy in the picture and I fear that they are going to begin to get intimate. My husband and I have been raising our 3 children to love and obey God and I see how the influences of this world so readily affect our kids. Please pray for us, that we handle the situation in a they way in which God would be pleased and that those words that we hid in our daughters heart would light the way for her and for those around her. Thanks for reading my comment.

I came across your post @ P31, from the 16th, and this post just really met the need – the question that i asked God repeatedly, these past 24 hours. Turning up praise music, and speaking Truth aloud is two steps i take, as well, when in spiritual battle. You are an encouragement.
I don't have a teen, yet, but have a heart for teens. I hope to someday use my testimony to keep some of them from making the same mistakes i did.
I was able to help out my [much] younger sisters, a little – though i wish that i'd already been on a path to healing, by then.
