A good friend is someone who is honest. A good friend is usually a christian. A good friend is a good listner. She is someone who will pray for your prayer request. She is someone who will lend a hand when needed. A good friend is not selfish. Someone like this is someone you should invest in, in our very busy world. You won't regret it and her help will be immeasurable to you.
Are friendships worth the investment? Friendships are worth the investment IF and ONLY IF they support your marriage (if you're married) and understand that it comes first. If not, you don't need them.
What do I look for in a good friend? I don't think I've ever "looked" for a friend. I've tried to be one though. I know God has brought some wonderful people my way that have turned out to be good, very good friends. They have been honest, lived honestly and I could trust them. They have been happy for me when I am up and flyin' with sucess and they have hung in with me when I've been down.
Why do we need good friendships?
Because they are like a breath of fresh air.
Guess I'm a little late to give input here. Wondering how your talk with the young mom's went. I'm sure you were a blessing.
So thankful that Jesus is my Best Friend,
Joy
