Where Has She Been? A Peek Behind the Curtain

It’s been awful quiet over here; maybe you wonder where I’ve been! Hint: it has to do with words again and a queen you thought you knew!

Here’s a little background on what has been going on over here 🙂 :

About three years ago, my friend Amy Carroll and I started working on a book proposal. It was full of the process we’d been going through together, but for a long list of reasons, that proposal received a big pile of rejection letters.

But in the midst of writing that proposal, I had a huge “aha” moment. I had been studying the book of Esther when I realized that a process Amy had introduced to me on how to work through uncertainty – Listen –Feel –Do –Speak wasn’t just an “Amy process.” It’s a process God uses in His people’s lives all through the Bible. I first saw it in Esther, so I wrote a sample chapter for that failed proposal on Esther’s journey through these four steps.

About the time we received our last rejection letter, my editor from my previous Bible study, Make Your Move, reached out to ask me if I’d like to write another Bible study for them. I looped Amy in, and we wrote this new study of Esther together called Esther: Seeing Our Invisible God in an Uncertain World. The book is structured around this process of listen – feel – do – speak – with one week spent on each step (with motives and outcomes added at the beginning and end to make it a six-week study). It’s a deep dive, and I think you’ll love it.

I’m so excited to share this new Bible study with you!
