A couple of weeks ago I posted the question: Ever have a dream? Today the question is: Have you ever felt called to speak?
Five years ago, I took a giant step. For several years, I had a growing desire to speak to teens, so I began a small group where I could mentor them. The more time I spent with these precious girls, the more my desire to invest in teens grew. Then a gal in my small group in church shared with me about a conference for those who felt called to speak: She Speaks by Proverbs 31. So, I took the jump and attended this conferences completely by myself! It was nothing like I had ever experienced before. To spend three days surrounded by 500 other women who “got” me; who knew and understood the calling I felt was so encouraging. Not only was it inspirational, but I came away with all the practical tools that I needed to put some feet to my calling.
Now it is your turn! If you have felt a stirring in your heart to speak into the lives of others, She Speaks may be just the thing to help you to get started.
She Speaks www.SheSpeaksConference.com will not only inspire you, but give you all the practical tools you needed to begin using the gifts God has given you.
Just click here for more details on the conference.
Cec Murphy will be granted one blessed woman a complete scholarship to She Speaks. Here is what you need to do:
Leave a comment below on my blog. You have until midnight on Friday, April 23rd to post comments. Briefly share with us what winning would mean to you in answering God’s call to speak. Each one of the Proverbs 31 speakers is also hosting this contest, so just click below and by visiting each blog, you can enter as many times as you wish!
This scholarship is for women who have never attended She Speaks and for women who would otherwise not be able to attend. If you can afford the conference – please do not enter to win a scholarship.
A winner will be randomly chosen from all comments and announced on Monday, April 26th. The winner will be announced on Friday, April 23 on the Proverbs 31 home page.
I would also like to recommend a terrific book I just read last month for those who are communicators. It is called “Communicating for a Change” by Andy Stanley. It really helped to revolutionize the way I am speaking and have already experienced some great comments as a result of the changes I have made.
